Hi, we are Bob & Cindy Mossey, the proud new owners of the Great Harvest Bakery in West Cobb.
How did we become the operators of this amazing bakery? To borrow a theme from an old TV commercial, “we loved the bread so much we bought the bakery!” It was two years ago when we made a commitment to lead a healthier lifestyle. Great Harvest became a place to go for whole grain bread and treats. While the amazing bread was part of our better diet plan what really hit us as visited several bakeries was the fun both customers and employees were having! People on both sides of the counter enjoyed being in the bakery.
Prior to joining Great Harvest, Cindy was CEO of an active household, and has been a teacher, worship leader and retail specialist. Bob was president of an industrial tool & supply company and a partner in real estate development.
We have two grown children, Mary and John (who is just down the road at KSU).
So as of October 2009 we are the new bread heads, inheriting a fantastic bakery from Terry Stickler, the founder. We thank him for creating such a fine establishment and look forward to carrying on the tradition, while bringing our own new twists and ideas to Due West Road.
There will still be fresh coffee and breakfast goodies for the morning folks, sandwiches for the lunch crowd, and always a great selection of handcrafted whole grain breads and treats made with daily-milled flour and only pure & simple ingredients. We will continue to have baskets and shipping boxes so you can send breads and goodies to friends and family.
We invite you to come in, get a free slice of bread, smell the fresh baked goodness, enjoy yourself and say “Hi”. We look forward to meeting you.

At Great Harvest, we're dedicated to the traditional ways
of bread making. We're a 'low tech,' old fashioned, scratch
bakery. We use pure, wholesome ingredients. We add no fats,
oils or preservatives. Each loaf is kneaded by hand. It takestime and a lot of work, but we truly enjoy keeping things
deliciously simple

Our flour is the heart and soul of our
bread. That's why we're both bakers and millers. At the crack
of dawn each morning, we stone grind high protein Montana
spring wheat into the freshest flour possible. Nothing's
added or removed. This is the magic of whole
grain breads and sweets.
That gives each loaf a pure, rich wheat flavor you'll never
taste from flour that's days old.
You can always stop in for a free, thick
slice of fresh bread from our breadboard, and stick around
for a while to enjoy the sights and smells of our fresh bread
baking. Hungry for a sandwich? We serve sandwiches 11am-3pm
daily.
